He attended Sunday school and was confirmed in 1959 at the First Presbyterian Church in Jamaica, Queens. In 2015, he identified as a Presbyterian and mentioned attending Marble Collegiate Church, although the church stated he was not an active member.
In 2019, Trump appointed his pastor, televangelist Paula White, to the White House Office of Public Liaison. By 2020, he described himself as a non-denominational Christian. In 2025, once again, he won the position.
