Fetih 1453 also known as Conquest 1453 is a Turkish historical fiction movie released in 2012. It depicts the events leading up to the conquest of Constantinople by the Ottoman Empire in 1453. The movie is directed by Faruk Aksoy whereas the movie screen is written by screenwriters Melih Esat, Acil Atilla Engin, and Irfan Saruhan.


The movie portrays the story of Sultan Mehmed II, who becomes the Ottoman Sultan at the young age of 19 and has a dream of conquering Constantinople which is being controlled by the Byzantine Empire for over a thousand years.
