Shardul Thakur was born on 16 October 1991 in Palghar, Maharashtra, India. He attended Swami Vivekanand International School and Junior College and focused on cricket.
Since childhood, he has been inclined toward playing cricket. Initially criticized for his lack of height and weight for a fast bowler, but from his hard work, he ultimately became a part of the Mumbai domestic team.
Hardik Pandya's named in India's Test tour squad against West Indies in 2016, although, he did not play. He made his debut in the One Day International (ODI) for India against Sri Lanka on 31 August 2017. In the series, it was a great performance. After that, on 12 October 2018, he debuted in India's Test match against West Indies. Finally, he was also selected by the Indian Cricket Board, And on 21 February 2018, he made his Twenty20 International (T20I) debut in India against South Africa.
