Amdocs Interview Process for Freshers & Experience

It does not matter, whether you are a fresher, as well as, experienced candidate, but in the Amdocs interview process, both types of candidates follow some basic interview rounds may be possible that the interview process name is different for fresher and experienced candidates.

If you are going to attend the Amdocs interview as a fresher then will follow four rounds of interviews, which are known as the Online Aptitude round, Psychometric test round, Technical interview round, and finally HR round.

Amdocs always receives applications on their website job portal, so if you are looking for a job in Amdocs then visit Amdocs’s career portal and search for jobs based according to your location and area of interest. If they find your information and resume suitable for that job then you will receive an email with a link for an online test, this test was attemptable on your computer at your place but one thing make sure your computer webcam is on when you attempt an online test.

Amdocs Interview Rounds & Questions Asked

Round 1 (Online Aptitude)

As you know, It is a home-based online test, there were 60 questions and the time was 90 minutes, the questions were on the topic of Aptitude, UNIX, Programming, SQL, and Testing.

  • 20 Aptitude Questions
  • 20 UNIX command questions, Based on Arrays between C/C++/Java, SQL query using order by, joins, limit, order by, group by, sum, and average.
  • 1 Programming question, it was compulsory
  • 19 SQL and Testing Questions

Round 2 (Psychometric Test)

It is a 15-minute test with 50 multiple-choice questions, actually, this test is not meant to be passed or failed; it is taken to assess decision-making in various scenarios.

Round 3 (Face to Face Technical Interview)

Some basic questions asked in this round included candidates' introduction, here is some basic question that asked in this round, such as Programming languages (Oops concepts, encapsulation, abstraction, inheritance, and more... or other programming concepts according to your code programming language), DDL, DML, DCL, TCL SQL Commands, Data Structures, and more.

In this round, a group of two members i.e. a Team Lead and a Developer will take your interview for around 1 hour. The questions were from Core Java (optional according to your code programming language), UNIX Command, SQL, and questions based on your resume, whatever you have mentioned in your resume.

Note – In your resume, mention only those topics which you know very well, don’t mention anything about which you don’t understand properly.

After a small break, the manager rounds will start for 15 to 20 minutes. In this round, the questions were mostly from SQL and UNIX simple commands. If you know about databases, then this round was quite easy. 

After this round, the interviewer said to you, "That's it for today, the team will send you an email for the HR round if you are selected in this round". After 3 to 5 days, you will get an email from Amdocs for the next HR round with the date and time.

Round 4 (HR Interview)

This is the easiest round, the HR will come and ask some simple questions like:

  • Why did you choose Amdocs?
  • What are your Goals after getting this job?
  • Are you ready for relocation in any Preferences for Locations
  • Maybe some questions about education and family or anyone from your family who already working in AMDOCS, and more according to the requirement.
