What is The C-DAC Exam? Actually!


C-DAC [Development of Advanced Computing] is the premier R&D organization of the Department of Electronics and Information Technology, Ministry of Communications & Information Technology for carrying out R&D in IT, Electronics, and associated areas. The premier R&D institution for the design, development, and deployment of world-class electronic and IT solutions for economic and human advancement.



CDAC Admission Process for PG Diploma Courses


The C-CAT organization conducts the "Computerized Admission Test" for admissions in PG Diploma Courses. C- CAT is usually conducted twice a year in the month:

  1. June( for August admissions)
  2. December( for February admissions)


Exam Section & Test paper for C-DAC

Section A (English, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning)

  • Number Of Questions - English (20 Q), Quantitative Aptitude (15 Q) & Reasoning (15 Q)
  • Total Time Durations - 60 Minutes


Section B (Computer Fundamentals, C Programming, Data Structures, Data Communication & Networking, Object-Oriented Programming Concepts, Operating Systems)

  • Number Of Questions - C Language(15 Q), Data Structure (6 to 8 Q), Operating System (6 to 8 Q), OOPS (8 to 10 Q), Computer Networks (8 to 10 Q)
  • Total Time Durations - 60 Minutes


Section C (Computer Architecture, Digital Electronics, Microprocessors)

  • Number Of Questions - Microprocessor(15 Q), Digital Logic(14 to 15 Q) & Computer Architecture(10 to 11 Q)
  • Total Time Durations - 60 Minutes
