SSC Exam [ Staff Selection Commission ]
SSC stands for Staff Selection Commission, SSC is a central government body and it was established in 1975. SSC conducts various exams for various central government departments. Most of the exams that are conducted by SSC have frequency once a year but for some exams twice a year. Here I'm going to explain important details about the most popular exams conducted by SSC.
Note: There are many exams conducted by the Staff Selection Commission, The general educational qualification needed is either a 10+2 or a graduation degree.
Basic Details & Eligibility:
- Nationality: Indian
- Age: 18-32
- Education: Bachelors Degree from a recognized university or institute.
- Type of Exam: National level Exam.
- Exam Mode: Conducted online mode test annually.
Stages of Exam: Divided in Four Tier
- Tier 1: Preliminary Test(Computer Based)
- Tier 2: Mains Exam(Computer Based)
- Tier 3: Descriptive Paper(Pen and Paper mode).
- Tier 4: Data Entry Skill Test/Computer Proficiency Skill Test.
Syllabus
Tier 1:
Carries 200 marks test which is objective type.
A)General Intelligence And Reasoning
B)General Awareness
C)Quantitative Aptitude
D)English Comprehension
Tier 2:
2 sections,2 Hours for each section carries 200 marks in each section.
Paper I-Quantitative Abilities: 200 marks (100 Questions) Duration: 2 hours
Paper II-English Language & Comprehension: 200 marks (200 Questions) Duration: 2 hours
Paper III- only for those candidates who apply for the post of Statistical Investigator Gr. II & Compiler.
papers - only for those candidates who apply for the post of Assistant Audit Officer.
Tier 3:
Pen and Paper Mode exam.
The Question Paper will be bilingual. The candidates will have the option to choose any one medium.
The maximum marks for this section (Tier 3 marks are 100 and the duration is 60 minutes.
Tier 4:
It is the skill or computer proficiency test that happens only where if it is applicable to just test the candidate are well known and interactive using computers.
