Hailee Steinfeld is a professional American actress and singer who was born on 11 December 1996 in Tarzana, California. Her mother is a Christian whereas her father is Jewish, Hailee's maternal grandfather was half Filipino and half African-American.
Hailee Steinfeld grew up in Agoura Hills and later her family shifted to Thousand Oaks where she attended Ascension Lutheran School, Conejo Elementary, and then Colina Middle School. Due to her acting career, from 2008 to 2015, she was home-schooled until her high school graduation.
Hailee Steinfeld grew up in a multiculturalism environment and inherited multi-linguistic skills by default although English is her primary and official language. Apart from English, she can understand Spanish and some French however she never revealed her fluency in these languages.
