Catherine Elise Blanchett, better known as Cate Blanchett, is an Australian actress, producer, and theatre director born on 14 May 1969 in Ivanhoe, Victoria, Australia, and started her career in 1992. For her stage work in various theatre productions has received numerous accolades, including two Academy Awards, three Golden Globe Awards, and three British Academy Film Awards.
Cate Blanchett was born and raised in Melbourne, where she did her schooling at Ivanhoe Girls' Grammar School and then Methodist Ladies' College, where she explored her passion for the performing arts.
