Iftikhar Thakur (افتخار ٹھاکر) was born Iftikhar Ahmed on 1 April 1958 in Mian Channu, Khanewal, Punjab, Pakistan. He completed his graduation from Islamabad and later studied at the New York Film Academy, being encouraged to join the institution by the late senior actor Qavi Khan.
