Courteney Bass Cox (formerly Courteney Cox Arquette, professionally known as Courteney Cox) is an American actress and filmmaker who was born on 15 June 1964 in Birmingham, Alabama.
Cox gained international recognition for her role as Monica Geller in the NBC sitcom Friends (1994–2004). And she received further recognition for starring as Gale Weathers in the horror film franchise Scream.
Acting Career of Courteney Cox
Courteney Cox started her career by working at video game publisher Bethesda Softworks briefly in the 1980s. Director Brian De Palma selected her from a casting call to feature in the 1984 music video for Bruce Springsteen's "Dancing in the Dark." She played the role of the young woman who was brought onstage at the St. Paul Civic Center to dance with Springsteen.

Courteney Cox completed her graduation from Mountain Brook High School, She left for Mount Vernon College in Washington, D.C. (now part of George Washington University) but did not complete her architecture course.
