Allahabad High Court | Exam & Pattern



Allahabad High Court organized exams every year for including post Review Officer (RO) & Computer Assistant (CA). The selection process is divided into three different processes as "Written Examination Test (Objective Type)", "Computer Knowledge Test", and "Document Verification".



Selection Process of AHC RO & CA Post


Firstly the candidates as recommended by the Screening Committee will be invited for Trade Test. Those candidates who qualify in the Trade Test exam will be invited for the 2nd exam named "Competitive Written Examination".


The final list will be prepared on the basis of the performance of the candidate in the competitive written examination such as:


  1. Written Examination Test
  2. Personal Interview Round
  3. Document Verification Process



Written Test Examination Rules


  • Candidates should be reached the written examination location at least before 30 minutes.
  • Candidates are not permitting to bring books or other notes with them to examination centers.
  • Don't come with your family because no one is permitted to go inside at examination center.
  • Calculators, smartwatches, and other electronic items are not allowed to bring to the written examination center.
  • Candidates make sure to bring Admit Card or Hall ticket before appearing for the written examination.
  • Candidates have to bring with them 2 pencils and 2 sharpened.



Exam Pattern of AHC Review Officer (RO)


Exam Pattern for Stage-I


  • Test Type: Written Examination (Including General Studies, Good knowledge of Hindi, General Awareness, etc...)
  • Number of Questions: 200 Questions
  • Time Duration: 2 Hours 30 Minutes


Rules for Stage-I Exam


  • The written exam will be of Maximum 200 marks.
  • There should be No Negative Marking in the objective type test.
  • The question paper will be printed in both English and Hindi languages.
  • The level of the paper will be consistent with the educational qualification prescribed for the examination.



Exam Pattern for Stage-II


  • Stage-II examination is a Computer Knowledge Test.
  • The exam will be 50 marks with 15 minutes time duration.
  • Candidates provided a text in English of approximately 500 words which required to reproduce on the computer in the same format within 15 minutes for adjudging the performance of the candidate on the computer.
  • Five candidates against every vacancy in each category in order of merit prepared on the basis of written examination "Objective Type Test" (Stage-I) will be called to participate in Computer Knowledge Test.

  • Total Number of Post: 37 Post (For SC: 7, OBC: 9 & Unreserved: 21 Post)
  • Total Reserved Post: 11 Post (For SC: 7, ST: 1 & OBC: 3 Post)



Salary Details of AHC Post


All selected candidates will get the following salary package per month in between (Indian Rupees) Rs. 51550k to 63070k.



Physical Requirement for AHC Exam


  • The candidate's age should not be above 45 years as of the year of the examination.
  • Applying candidate must have been born on or after mentioned date in the job application form.
  • Relaxation in age for SC/ST/OBC - 03 Years
