Angela Yeung Wing is a Hong Kong actress who was born on 28 February 1989 in Shanghai, China. She is better known by her stage name Angelababy. Along with her acting career, she is also a businesswoman, investor, model, and singer.
Acting Career of Angelababy
Angelababy made her acting debut with a brief 5-minute cameo in the movie "Trivial Matters" in 2007. Subsequently, she took on supporting roles in numerous films and featured in music videos. Her first leading role came in the 2011 film "Love You You," co-starring with Eddie Peng. She also contributed to the movie's soundtrack by singing a duet with JJ Lin titled "Bottom of the Heart."
In 2013, Southern Metropolis Daily recognized her as one of the New Four Dan Actresses. Four years later, in 2016, she earned the Hundred Flowers Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in the blockbuster film "Mojin: The Lost Legend." Angelababy is also a regular cast member on the variety show "Keep Running."
Education of Angelababy
At the age of thirteen, Angelababy relocated to Hong Kong and entered into a modeling contract with Style International Management at fourteen. Despite her English name being Angela, she was occasionally referred to as "Baby" during her primary and secondary school years. Combining both names, she adopted the stage name Angelababy. Fluent in English, Mandarin, Shanghainese, Cantonese, and Japanese, she possesses a diverse language proficiency.
She completed her higher education at Notre Dame College (a Catholic secondary school in Ma Tau Wai, Hong Kong) after compiling her basic education.
Husband, Boyfriend, Kid of Angelababy
Angelababy had been in a relationship with Chinese actor Huang Xiaoming, who is 12 years older than her, for six years. However, their relationship was not publicly disclosed until February 2014. On May 27, 2015, they officially registered their marriage in Qingdao, China, and celebrated their wedding banquet in Shanghai on October 8, 2015.
In October 2016, Huang and Angelababy shared the news of her pregnancy. Their son was born on January 11, 2017, at the Hong Kong Adventist Hospital, and they named him "Xiaohaimian," which translates to 'little sponge' in Chinese. Unfortunately, on January 28, 2022, Huang and Angelababy announced their decision to divorce.
